Not sure if i have mentioned it here before... Ever since Kitty (the real one, sister of Lightning and Thunder) went missing we had been searching for her high and low, and even post on the websites for missing pets. Someone actually got back to us saying they saw a cat similar to Kitty's pictures. We even drove all the way to Ang Mo Kio to take a look. Then we caught this cat back, thinking it's a dirty and scared Kitty. Only when we finally brought it home (it escaped when we brought it back from Ang Mo Kio that day) and cleaned it with a wet cloth, we realised it's not our Kitty. However, since we were the ones who caught her and brought her to a foreign place, we decided to take care of her for awhile, especially when she didn't seem to be in the best of health. We brought her to the vet and they prescribed some medicine. They said it could be FIV.

The kitty we caught then.

Cleaning her dirty ears.

She's cute too. :)

Nomnomnom.
Days passed. Weeks passed. Months passed. She's still the same, drooling and all. Smelly but we would still try to clean her as much as we could and provide her with as much food as possible. But today... I was at work and received a text from sissy that they had 'Kitty' put to rest because she's too weak and inside her body everything was rotting. They ran some tests on her which costs about $600+ and found out that she had leukemia and suspected to have kidney cancer. So putting her to rest was a better option. To end her pain.

Along with the text was this photo.
I just couldn't help it but teared. Then it became so bad that i had to run to the toilet to avoid questions from my colleagues. It's been a year. We caught her on 18 December 2012 and she left us today, 27 December 2013. All we did was to shower her some care, feed her and clean her cage every single day. I wish it's sufficient to allow her to feel loved and cared by us.

Dear 'Kitty',
Thank you for spending one year and a few days with us. Please know that all of us love you even though you were so ill and not part of the kitten litter we adopted. Our heart ached a lot when we have to make that decision. Thank you for swishing your tail in response to our cries for you even when you had no energy to move. I am sorry i couldn't send you off and for sobbing at work, on the way home, at the spot where you were buried and at the sight of your empty cage. I'm sorry for the things that we could have done better but didn't.
'Kitty', run free in heaven and meet Lightning alright?
Love you always.
