Not-so-good week.

*COUGHS*
Having a dry throat for the past few days makes me cough so much. I wish it'll go away..

Guess almost everyone is in an emo-ish mood thanks to something out there that is bothering us. Maybe my problems aren't that big, but i'm not quite handling them well. I always claim to be strong. But sometimes i think it's more of an effort to convince myself rather than others.
I should try to stop sighing. The constant sighing would only take away minutes off my life..

So anyway, a summary of the past few days...

Friday.
Had a lecture at 9am which ended at 11am. Had like 3 hours of break before my next tutorial. So my friends and i decided to go for some allergy test where we could get a $10 discount Co-op voucher. Yes, typical auntie kind of thing again. Haha. All for the sake of saving money okay. Textbooks are pretty expensive you know. ):

The process didn't take that long, and it was quite interesting actually. There were 6 kinds of tests. 1 was positive control and 1 was negative control, while the other 4 were two different breeds of dust mites, oil palm pollen and fungus.

After dripping the solutions onto my hand and pricked me...it started to react. See the red spots appearing? But apparently the person who did the dripping and pricking mixed up the fungus and negative control because there were no reaction at the fungus area and red spots were appearing at the negative control, which shouldn't be happening. So i have to re-do both of that...

Extra two markings at the middle.

I should have demanded for $20 worth of Co-op voucher hor? Hahaha, just joking.

So in the end the results showed that i am allergic to both breeds of dust mites and oil palm pollen. My friends were all not allergic to any. Hmm. Not bad, at least now i know what exactly i'm allergic to. I knew all the while i'm quite sensitive to dust, cause my nose would get super itchy and it makes me uncomfortable. But i didn't know i was allergic to it. Haha. Now, this is the reason why i like being in a clean environment.
:)

Went to have lunch at YIH!

Ban Mian for $2.80.

Had my very first professional communication tutorial class after that. It's quite small, only about 17 of us and we had to sit in a circle. Kind of scary because we really have to speak up. Started the class with ice breaking.
._.
I hate ice breaking the most. In camps, in class, in whatever. Whacko is the worse kind of ice breaking game. Thankfully we didn't have to play whacko. Lol, just had to introduce our name, school we were previously from and an interesting fact about ourselves. I also hate when people say things like 'say an interesting fact about yourself'. Nothing interesting how? And how would i know what is interesting to you? Again, thank god i was one of the last few to do the introduction. So i just decided to say i have 4 cats. Hehe. After introduction we had to pick a piece of paper and answer the question on it. Mine was something along this line, 'If you could have a dream job, what would it be? Why?'. I totally cannot do impromptu thinking so all i managed to say was that i want to just sit and shake leg, while money rolls in. Everyone laughed.

Not too bad. But i still gotta survive about 20 more of such lessons. And many would be 10 times worse cause of presentations and meeting, negotiation and interpersonal skills (which would be an impromptu scenario for us to showcase our skills.)

Year 2 really sucks la. I'm not being negative but i'm being realistic. I feel like all the modules are so tough to understand and difficult to score. Combined with my extreme laziness due to post holiday blues.
I'm so dead right?

In the night was just pure hell. Fullstop. Cried so much that my eyes swell and hurt. My nose turned red. And i got a severe headache. Thank god for a friend who was there for me even though it was so late and had a choice to be at home doing other things. And for many others who asked if i'm okay, giving me strength even though i couldn't fully explain what happened. And my parents who stood by me, encouraged me and allow me to fight this battle myself, to be a stronger person.

Friends and family, my pillar of support. 我的靠山.
I don't know what would i do without them. And i really appreciate how friends would give me a listening ear and give some encouragement and comfort. Unlike family, they have the choice to not do it. To just heck care me and my problems. But they chose to listen and make me feel better. So just this fact alone made me feel so much better.

That's why i also like it when friends come to me when they have problems or have things that are bothering them. I like lending them a listening ear, giving wise advice (that is if i have any) or some comforting words to let them know they are not alone, and that i'll always be there for them.

It's definitely not bothersome, not a disturbance, not a nuisance.
"Shared joy is a double joy, shared sorrow is half a sorrow."
That's what friends are for, right?

Saturday.
Woke up with puffy eyes. Feeling much better. Went to have lunch with family. Daddy so mean. He delayed even though he knows i'm heading out with friends. Had to push back the timing, and even so, i was still late.
:/

Head to Tampines with the usuals. Bought the movie tickets and went to shop a bit. Lucky i brought my sister's Safra card along to enjoy a cheaper rate, even after discount it was $9 per ticket since it was a weekend.

没有钱了

Dora joined us halfway and then we went to watch The Expendables 2. It was NC16, so either GV was very strict or we all looked like we're under 16, they actually checked our IC twice. Once at the ticket purchasing counter and another time when we were entering the cinema. Haha. The movie was...full of shooting and fighting. Not much of a storyline, so not really my kind of movie. But i wouldn't say it's that bad cause at least i understand what's going on and there were some funny parts.

Rachel could only join us for dinner. Coincidentally, after the movie, we bumped into her in the toilet. (haha, we always have weird/epic meet up moments) Went to have dinner at Soup Restaurant. Drank a lot of their tea which was quite nice. And listened to a lot of Lester's army stories. Lol.

Didn't know where to go after that so Dora suggested going to her house! So we did. And first thing most of us did was to visit her toilet. Thanks to all the water from the tea at the Soup Restaurant. Hahah. Played games like cluedo and poker, which Zhi Xiong taught Carol and me. I think i suck at gambling. I am still quite blur about how it works. But Carol seems to have a talent in it. Lol.

We left quite late, at around 10plus. Poor Rachel had to chiong home. I was also quite worried about the time since Mummy has been nagging for me to be home early these days. But then the guys still wanted to have supper and all. No idea what their stomach is made up of?! But i tried my luck and asked my mum if it's okay to have supper nearby before heading home. 'Not too late' was her reply. Lol, a bit vague but i guess better than saying no. After eating a bit at Rochor Beancurd, the guys head to my house to play with the cats for awhile since Zhi Xiong haven't seen them before. He's kinda scared of them and it's quite funny. Lester like pro already, knowing what to do and stuffs since he's been here countless of times. And he actually looks like he misses them a lot. Haha. Whereas Zi Shen just played and pet the cats assuring Zhi Xiong that they are not scary. Tiger damn naughty though. When it was time to lock them up, he kept running and hiding from us! Took me damn damn damn long to finally catch him. Gave him a light smack in the butt when i put him into the cage.

And then the guys headed home. By then i think it was probably 12 plus already.

Sunday (today).
Boring much. Stayed home cause Daddy wasn't free. Tried doing some studying and assignment, but it wasn't of much use. And i still do not understand what the tutorial question wants. How to do?!

Blehs.
Why do weekends fly by so quickly?
Why are Fridays so close to Sundays and yet Sundays so far from Fridays?
Why so unfairrrrrrrrrrr?

    1. Yeah!! We're on the same boat, Year 2 is really quite bad.. :( Aww, no la! All of us didn't want to leave so late either. I was secretly checking my phone for the time since 9pm++, and the guys got ask when are we leaving etc. Staying at dora's house till so late also quite paiseh ah. So don't feel bad! We were all worried that you'll get into trouble because of us though. Seems like something happened again after that right? :( Yes, 2 weeks down, now at the start of week 3, and about 10 more weeks to go! We have to hang in there! :)
