Coastal Park Hopping - Nihon Mura - The Fabulous Baker Boy

Tiring but awesome week I had this week. I love being out of office even though it was tiring.

Monday (7 July)

The start of the 2nd last week of internship. Oh how time flies.

Went to work feeling unwell. Not sure was it because I didn't eat breakfast since there wasn't much food to eat at home, and I was being nagged at....So I dropped by NUS's canteen and grabbed a packet of fan choy before heading to the office.

 A dry fan choy.

But food is food. Food makes me happy!

Tuesday (8 July)

Was supposed to report to work at West Coast Park at 9.30am! So I met Jocelyn at Clementi mrt at 9am first before taking bus 154 to WCP!

I bought us 1-for-1 chicken muffin for breakfast. Hehe. And that's my pear! Dad said granny bought pears for me knowing I like them. (Aww, feel so loved) Told me it's damn nice and soft. But then I peeled it in the morning, it didn't seem soft at all. Thank god I decided to cut them into smaller pieces using the knife. Otherwise how to bite with my braces?! I complained to dad saying he bluffed me then he said granny bluffed him. Hahaha. I still ate every single piece though. So much love, anything would also turn out yummy!

After measuring the boundaries and taking photos of the sites at WCP, the park managers of WCP dropped us at a part of the park where we then walked to NUS to do another project for another manager. We had our lunch in NUS too!

I got my avocado milkshake! Hehe, so healthy.

We cabbed down to Tampines to continue with the sourcing of prices of drinks. The journey from the west to the east was pretty long and....both of us fell asleep. A deep sleep. I even almost drooled. Hahaha. Damn tired. The taxi uncle was also sleepy I guess. I kept hearing him yawn and slapping himself awake. Lol.

Reached Tampines and rushed whatever we were supposed to do and head down to Pasir Ris Town Park via mrt. But then when I contacted the manager in PRTP, she told me no one's in the office because it's under renovation!! (we needed to meet the managers because they could bring us around the park via buggy and lend us the measuring roller) We actually skipped Changi Beach Park, thinking we should head there the next day instead since we were running out of time. But since she said all the PRTP and PRP people were in the CBP's office, we went down to CBP via bus 89.

So jaded.

Reached there but everyone seemed so busy to care about us.
):

So we just borrowed the measuring roller and proceeded to measure the site boundary and take pictures of the bicycle kiosk just next to the office. We were done pretty fast so we sat down near the sea to chill until the park manager for CBP called me to say she'll drive us down to the other PCN pit stop. She drove, together with another girl who thought she was older than us, but when she asked which poly are we from, we were like, "Er, we're from university." I think she was so shocked that she became speechless. Hahaha. She still laughed at herself saying "To think I thought I was older than you guys..."

The park manager also damn young lo, same age as Jocelyn (who, technically, is older) and a year older than me. Haha. I guess I am no longer very young?

Took bus 2 allll the way home!

Wednesday (9 July)

Back in office! Yvette and Michelle wanted to have lunch at Assembly Coffee, so to save money I bought bread for lunch! But Jocelyn prepared bread and binggrae strawberry milk for me!!!
:')

My bread at the background. And the bread and milk Jocelyn prepared for me. Mine is just tuna plus mayonnaise while Jocelyn's was vege and sausage patty. When she ate hers, she was like, "Woah, the patty like quite hard, I think you don't eat better." Haha. But where got like that one, of course i'll still eat it! And I did! Finished all of it. Like I've said, so much love, anything would also turn out yummy! ^^

So anyway, I just ate bread, but since Samantha and Jocelyn also didn't join Michelle and Yvette, they both tabao food from the food court and then we went to chill in SBG. We so romantic ah. Bumped into another colleague who was with his girlfriend, eating packed lunch. That one lagi romantic. Hahaha.

Thursday (10 July)

Yay, out of office again! This time even better, reported to work at Pasir Ris at 10.30am!

Just a super big and long Thunder hugging me like a baby.

Did our work at PRP & PRTP! Love the clouds, sea and the swing! Weather that day was super hot though!

Had lunch at White Sands Kopitiam. The auntie told me Kopitiam is closing starting from Friday? Not sure if she meant permanently or just for upgrading.

After that we head to ECP for a meeting with a tenant! We reached early, so we were chilling in the office but then our supervisors weren't anywhere to be found. Texted them and they told us to make our way to Ski360. Which is far from the office, but we were too tired to even think of borrowing the bicycles from the people in the office. We just started walking. Lol. In the end our supervisors came to pick us up at Cheers pop-up kiosk.

Ended early and I met up with Wj and Carol at Big Splash! Apparently Lester was taking a shower in the park, so we waited until he was done before heading down to Rivervale Mall. It was everyone's first time there I guess. I didn't even hear of such a mall before. Lol. It's under Capitamall somemore.

Anyway we headed there because I was supposed to treat them to sushi! I recommended sushi express initially but they suggested nihon mura because of the wider variety of selection. Then when I was looking through their facebook I saw that Rivervall Mall's outlet was having a $1/plate promotion from 7-11July. Just in time somemore! Hahah. We were damn lucky because when we reached, there was no queue at all! Got seats straightaway!

Ordering from this electronic device is better, we feel. The sushi on the belt doesn't seem fresh.

Itadakimasu!

First time seeing this. Haha. It's just salmon.

Ate a total of 40 plates which is just $40 + $7.10 after GST.  It's wayyyy fewer number of plates than I expected, not sure if they held back for me? But I was damn full and satisfied. We ordered like 16 plates of salmon sashimi. Hahaha, we're all salmon sashimi lovers.

But honestly speaking, the food was so-so la. But obviously the salmon sashimi is *thumbs up*!!

Friday (11 July)

Farewell treat from Sarah and Lili at The Fabulous Baker Boy! Lili damn nice because it was her off day, but she still came down to meet us!
:')

Cabbed down with Sarah and Jocelyn!

"People who love to eat are always the best people."

Anyway Sarah told me those working in TFBB are gays? Not sure if it's true but the shop supports the pink dot (pink dot stickers everywhere)! I think that's cool!
:)

 Cakes!

I saw that guy taking selfie with the cakes. Hahaha.

The food are all so photogenic! Coupled with the good lighting and pretty flowers...it's just look amazing and drool-worthy. Don't say I didn't warn!

Lobster Bisque which tastes like prawn mee. Haha.

Coffee.

 Tea.

 Scottish Smoke Salmon Salad

 Tuna Melt

 Towkay Ng's Egg Benedict

 Cajun Chicken Grilled Cheese

Jocelyn and I shared these, so we had half half each!

The food looks good, but honestly speaking I feel there's no wow factor. BUT, I LOVE THE CAKES!!! Expensive but damn good! 4 of us shared 2 slices of cakes!

 Red Velvet Chocolate.

Apple Cider.

Red velvet was good but it seems mediocre when compared to the Apple Cider. I really love the Apple Cider one! It has got a special taste to it. Hehe. So glad that I chose this!

Pretty colorful swings at Fort Canning Park.

Best supervisors and partner I can ask for.
:))
