Mock interview and buffet at Edge @ Pan Pacific Hotel

Before i start my post, i really want to rant... And that is, the Indonesia Minister seriously damn qian bian. Accused us of behaving like a child because of the haze and said things like 'this is not what the Indonesian nation wants, it is because of nature.' Huh, what does that even mean! Using fire to clear land for cultivation is nature? -.- We're complaining because the air quality now is so bad that this afternoon the PSI hit 371 which is hazardous already. And if it deteriorates further (which it has been happening for the past few days), any reading above 400 is deemed "life-threatening to ill and elderly people". Hello, lives at stake cannot complain? Being a person who can't even tolerate cigarette smoke, haze seriously sucks ttm. And i'm sure they aren't stupid, they must have known the winds would blow the smoke towards us instead of the direction towards to their own cities. That's why they carried out the burning this time of the year. I mean, how is it coincidental that so many parts of Indonesia are unaffected when the burning is happening right in their country? You want to burn, you suffer yourself can? Of course those Singapore investors etc are to be blamed too. But the rest of us are innocent.
):

Okay, i'm done ranting.

So i actually went for a mock interview for Boehringer Ingelheim at Pan Pacific Singapore today, together with Rachel and sissy. First time being paid to be interviewed so i wasn't as nervous as i normally would, but still a little tensed nonetheless. Like what if they asked me weird questions and i can't answer them on the spot?! Fortunately, the people there were really really really nice and friendly. Super good that they made me have a really good impression on Boehringer Ingelheim. Confirm a kind of environment which is family-oriented and without any office politics. Too bad it's a pharmaceutical company otherwise i would have considered joining them for internship or something. Haha. Anyway we had 3 different interviews with 3 different people. And all the while we had observers at the side too, who were supposed to observe the interviewers. After interviewing, we had to give additional feedback on top of the observers' for the interviewers to improve. A very beneficial session i must say. It helped me to practice answering interview questions and learn the correct way of interviewing people as well. The whole process was not as terrifying as i thought mainly because the people i faced were really nice and made me feel very comfortable. :) After that we had a complimentary lunch buffet at  Edge. So shiok!

All the nice food made me a happy, fat me. Super full after that!

Us the interviewees!
I look fat! First time wearing so formal, and i borrowed my sis's blazer hence it looked oversized on me. My shoulders look extra broad. And i wore inappropriate heels just for the sake of comfort. Hahaha. I swear no flats can ever fit nicely for my feet. And i realised i'm seriously super short sia, after wearing heels i'm still shorter than Rachel?!?

Oh ya, just now we were whatapp-ing each other and Rachel sent me an audio of the pronunciation of her Korean name which was given by SNU for our student registration. So i did the same via google translation. I was totally amused because my korean name was translated to 'Channing Tan'. First thing that came to mind was Channing Tatum. Hahahaha. Then i was telling Rachel i'm so tempted to do some photoshop, like my face with his hot body. And she created this for me....

Not bad huh! But if my cropped face were to be replace his face i think that would be the ultimate. LOL!
I'm the Asian version, hehe!

Another good news, received my pay cheque via snail mail from Makansutra already! Whee~ AND GUESS WHAT! They gave me an extra $100 as compared to the agreed amount in the contract! Not sure if it's overtime pay, for the hard work, the sales i made or for whatever reason...
BUT YAY!
Super happy! 超级开心! 슈퍼 행복(syupeo haengbog)!
