Finally met up with my favourite group of friends!
♥♡♥♡♥
By that i meant, there's at least 10 over people in this group but i still love hanging out with them! :) Cause knowing me, i usually would prefer smaller groups of friends, easier to interact, and less....i don't know, left out? You know, the feeling of not belonging in the group? There might be some other groups of friends in life whom i love to spend time with, but then again, time tells everything eh? So 7 years down the road to today, this is the bunch who stuck together and made the effort to maintain this friendship. And for that, i'm so so so happy & grateful.
*happy sigh*
So anyway, Rachel initiated to plan this gathering, and asked me to help out, and so i did. Haven't been the one planning since.....a few years ago i guess. Lol, i used to be the one to plan stuffs, together with Abie, but we finally gave up. Planning isn't easy, you know... But whenever i am in charge of planning stuffs, i tend to Google a lot and plan a lot of stuffs. Me no like spontaneous. Because when people say "Go there then decide", it's a freaking bad move as we will always end up hogging a place deciding what to do/where to go next. I guess Rachel is also the same, so we actually communicated a lot just for this gathering. Sometimes we even ended up thanking each other for doing this and that. Lol.
Gathering was considered a success, considering 90% of the people made it to the gathering. Only Dora and Pauline couldn't join us. Had a good time too! Met Liang Quan at Aljunied before heading to Harbourfront mrt, we were a little late. But it didn't matter since most of the others were later than us. Haha. So we set off for Sentosa an hour later than planned. I think the guys were all excited to play at the beach, so we ended up not exploring Sentosa but just hanging out at the beach, playing ball and frisbee (i still suck at throwing frisbee...) The weather was hot, but not that bad i guess. No sunburns for me this time round! The last time we went, i had serious sunburns and got scolded for not putting on sunblock... Some of the guys when to cool off in the water, leaving Zi Shen and Nicholas to play card games with us girls.

Nicky taught us a game which was quite fun in a way, but then he doesn't know the name of the game. So it's like, "I'm going to teach you a new game." "What game?" "Er, i don't know the name." Haha! Nicky so funny! Haven't seen him since..*counts*..probably a year ago. It was good catching up with him while walking to places yesterday. And i realized this guy, he's really strong. As in mentally and emotionally. I don't think i would be this strong if something similar happened to me. Really. Thank you God, for giving him strength.
I digressed. So then, the guys came back from a shower, and Wei Jin told me secretly that Kian Wei says he has to reach home by 8pm! Oh no, have to change our plans! Okay, so we actually planned a mini surprise birthday party since Kian Wei's birthday is like, 2 days before our meet up. Initially, we got Abie and Sandra to get the cake together and then join us for dinner, but since Kian Wei has to leave earlier, we decided we should get the cake earlier. After much discussion and pondering (between the girls), we asked bear who was already at Plaza Sing to get the cake. There were a few situations where we almost screwed up the surprise, like bear coming towards us with the cake in a bag (but luckily, the bag was not plastic bag) and us having to pass the cake to the Fish&Co staff. But as we seldom celebrate each other's birthday, he didn't suspect anything, so yay! Mini surprise was pretty much successful. :)
In case you're wondering, no pictures of Sentosa, since Rachel brought her camera, but forgot to bring her SD card. Janice, who met us for dinner only, brought an SD card along, thus we managed to take some photos while we were at Fish&Co...

The girls~

A group photo before Kat leaves. Awesome? 14 of us!
♥♡♥
And then Kian Wei said he has to leave at 7.30pm. And we quickly got the staff to bring out the cake. But they took quite a while! Daphne and i got nervous seeing Kian Wei who looks like he's counting down for the time to reach 7.30pm before he rushes off home. Both of us kept looking at Kian Wei and then looked at the staff to see if they are preparing already, and then we couldn't help but laugh when we realized only the 2 of us were anxious about it, while the rest were all still oblivious about the situation.

The cake finally came and this picture shows Kian Wei explaining why he doesn't want to stand on the chair.
"I'm wearing shorts!"

Birthday boy.

Then he was asked to blow the candles from that distance. He actually did it in one shot. Lol. Look at the female staff's face, like she's amazed/surprised.

Strawberry Short Cake from Rive Gauche Patisserie.

After eating his cake, he rushed home, while we took our time dealing with the money matters...

Headed to the MRT, planing to go home. But group photo again first! Sandra took this photo and commented that it looks like we're on some learning trip, with the "Penang Road" sign on the top. Haha. And i didn't even realised Zi Shen and Wei Jin went off already.

Credits to Rachel, and she's so efficient! Uploaded the photos so promptly onto Facebook. That's the reason why i could post it here like so soon (i just edited the photos a bit). Haha, i used to be the one carrying a camera around, taking photos. I am no longer the one taking photos, ever since my pink compact camera died on me and i am just plain lazy to bring my dslr around...
Thereafter, Bear and Rachel went home, while Nicky head back to book in, and the rest of us decided to watch a movie since Zhong Wei didn't want to go home so early. Watched Man In Black 3! Nice, they actually had a little sad(?) twist to it at the end.
Headed home at around 10pm++. I've really grown up? My parents aren't so strict with me now, really. They don't even call me to rush me home. Haha. Truth to be told, whenever i go out with friends nowadays, i don't ask anymore. I just tell. :) Anyway, when we're heading home, there was this smell in the train which smells like jackfruit. Then we were saying jackfruit is really nice to eat etc, until i realized it's someone's vomit smell when there were many people 'fleeing' from an area. *faints* The person who vomited must have ate jackfruit before that... It's hilarious thinking how we still said jackfruit very nice to eat. Hahah, yikes!
And...i received my results for Sem 2 this morning.
B-A-D.
My cap was lousier than last sem. I knew this would happen ever since i get this nagging feeling that i won't do as well as last sem. It's so depressing. I really really really put in more effort this sem. Imagine, even my mother saw me studying would ask whether i have a test the next day for so many times and i would go, "Can't i just study? Why must i have a test?" "Usually you're not like that what" was her reply. Yet this is what i got in return..

I thought i might get an A for Econs and General Biology. Must have been a wishful thinking. An A is like so near yet so far. Why are the people i'm competing with so smart?! Changing Landscapes is like....at least get a B la, B- damn ugly can. My lousy English must be the cause of it. Lastly, i can't freaking accept it that i got a C+ for RE1103. I can understand if i got a C for Valuation, which i thought i might even fail & have to retake it. But RE1103? Seriously?!

Now i really dread having that teacher. She's nice and all. But when it comes to her module, it's always one of my lousiest score that i have. At least i got a B last sem (which was my lousiest grade then), now it's a C+. Great. Just great. It's such an eyesore now. Having my first C, but not the last. Surely there's more to come....

Was kind of depressed knowing the results. When i told my mum about it, i teared. )': I always feel that i'm letting my parents down. I cannot even achieve a simple thing such as getting good grades, let alone achieving greater things in life... Then again, it's no use moping over something has already happened and that cannot be changed. There's nothing i can do but to worker even harder the next time round.
Qian Ning, you can do it. 你可以的. *Sobs*

Hey, cheer up. my result also damn chui sia, i got c+ also. sad ttm. we still have like 4 or 5 sem, sure can pull up one. :-)
ReplyDeleteC looks very bad right! Just feel that it's too soon getting a C. What if next few sems very difficult to get good grades? Hahaha, okay, i gotta stop being so pessimistic. Lol, anyway how's life for you??? Having holidays now too? :)
