Last of 2014 and the Start of 2015

안녕하세요, I'm back to blog again~

Gonna just briefly go through my photos!

My first time trying Shiok Maki! Damn shiok but the price is pretty pricey. Went there early so there isn't a need to queue!

Baked chocolate muffins for family gathering!

Yum yum. Pretty nice but then the chocolate chips all sank to the bottom...

And finally tried the bingsu at Bing Go Jung Korean Dessert House with the bffs! Shouldn't have ordered the oreo one though, because it seems like it's just a jug of ice. Haha, didn't feel that worth it for a price of $10++.

And for the first time, tried making log cakes! The easy way because we bought the swiss rolls from Bengawan Solo. Just made the chocolate glaze to coat the swiss rolls. Play cheat. Hahah.

And tadah! The end result! Made use of Christmas decorations which we kept as well. Hehe.

When dad saw them in the fridge he was like, "All bakeries have to close down liao." Hahaha, where got so serious!

Then initially planned to meet up with WJ and Carol to visit Gardens By the Bay but in the end all of us changed plans and met Rachel and Zs at Plaza Sing instead. Had dinner together at some Japanese restaurant and went to spend some time at PlayNation.

:)

Also planned an impromptu meet up and dinner with the childhood peeps when parents went JB with their friends, leaving us behind. And yay to my spontaneous childhood friends, they all came down to meet us!

Darren came down to out house first and drove us to Tian Kee & Co.

Sis and I shared the Tian Kee Eggs Royale and the Full Breakfast Set! Each priced at $14.90, and both of us felt the eggs royale is a better choice!

After that Benedict came to join us and 5 of us shared 1 rainbow cheesecake. Lol.

And now that I have selfie stick (bought one set, another given by cousin for birthday present and another given as a freebie when purchased the waterproof camera), have to make full use of it right?!

And only realized the 'ghost' effect on me in the photos after we left the place. Lol. Made me look like I just descended from heaven.

After that Darren drove us to our house and we chilled together by watching some Bollywood movie introduced by Darren. And then after watching the show, it was probably midnight already? We had the crazy idea to bake brownies. Hahaha! Partly cause Darren kept seeing the bakes we did on instagram but didn't get to try them... And we super fast game one! But I was probably like the 'auntie' in the house nagging and cleaning up after them and all. Lol.

End result! Not bad eh! But it's a super heaty late night snack.

Benjamin came by after his friend's 21st birthday and reached just in time to savour the brownies.

 Yes, selfie time again. Lol.

Parents came home damn late and when they reached home, Benedict left soon after because he had a 5km marathon the next day. Darren initially wanted to leave too but decided to stay after Benjamin complained that he thought could stay to have htht session and after dad's encouragement for them to stay. Lol. So in the end we talked till 4-5plus in the morning before they left.

And this... is my first time trying a potato omelette. Similar to rosti and look like carrot cake. Haha.

Lester's mum actually taught me how to cook this and she cooked it for me to eat for 3 times already because I mentioned like potatoes.
^^

Got hindered thrice already and finally the fourth time I finally managed to go Gardens By the Bay!

Soooo pretty and quiet at night! Love it!

 Heh, pretty lightings.

 :)

  Celebrating SG50 everywhere...

And.... the countdown! First time counting down in a bar, Shuffle, at Clarke Quay.
And the rest had apple cider while I drank coffee/tea. Then I gey kiang went to drink Lester's and Carol's drink and felt unwell after that. Feeling dizzy and damn cold. Plus the noise in the bar didn't help at all.

Anyway the staff distributed the sprays and poppers to everyone.

 The guys, lol.

A group picture before we left! Somehow I looked okay in the photo but in actual fact I felt pretty unwell and tired. Lol.

And I really really reallyyyyy shouldn't drink anything with alcohol anymore. Arghhhh. Had rashes the next few days which itch damn badly especially after bathing. My body so sucky lo.

2015 a brand new year!

Went to find Bens' family at a pretty quiet hidden gem near MBS. They brought Ollie out!

Daddy and Mummy posing with Ollie. Haha.

Also met up with Eelin and Gina before Eelin flew off again! We had our dinner at Yoogane and it was pretty filling, spicy and rather expensive...

We reminisced a lot over dinner and laughed till cheeks and belly hurt. Lol. Then we brought Eelin to try llao llao despite feeling full. So 3 of us shared one sanum!

Hehe, happy papa, xiao mei and baby!

And on another day had waffles and ice cream at bing bing with the bffs. The waffle is meh. Not going to order waffles from them next time. But still better than Island Creamery whose waffles are just cmi.

Also went for a swim, which I haven't done in years?! Sun was so hot and the water was so cold. I am damn lousy these days so all I felt was coldness and I kept shivering. Only after that I realized I had a tan and sunburn for being under the harsh sun.

Hehe, experimented my new waterproof camera! So fun!

Also went to cut my hair after that. Like finally. Look how thick my hair is.
:O

First time cutting my hair at that salon! The end result was okay! And it only cost me $10! Eh, cheap leh! Gonna go there next time. Hehe.

Hahahaha, and yes! I took off my braces already! Super fast cause it's only been a year? It felt really weird initially. But I think i'm getting used to my straight and bare teeth now! Hehe.

Gonna get my retainers tomorrow! Dental appointment at 8am. Boohoo. Oh ya, i'm studying Korean this sem as well! So glad a lot of school stuffs have been going smoothly for me thus far. Got the modules I want, got the tutorial slots I want etc...

Except dissertation. Procrastination still ongoing. Rahhh. But Lester has been offering his help and Wj and Carol also offered to help me in my data analysis! These kind of friends where to find?!
:'D

And as if school work is not enough, I went to search for a part-time job. Couldn't find a high-paying flexible job so I settled for a not-so-high paying job but it's nearby and has a pretty good environment i'd say. The staff seem nice too! Hopefully from this I get to hone some life skills uh!

Both work and studies, please be good to meeeeee!
