Mooncakes making!

No school day today. Did some studying in the earlier part of the day and made mooncakes at the later part of the day! First time trying to do after the mooncake lesson from Auntie Sharon 3 year ago. Omg, I totally forgot the steps even though I took notes down. Then I had to try to piece the information here and there and finally settled for a certain recipe and procedures!

 Some of the ingredients.

To be honest, I wasn't so excited to make these because it can be quite a hardwork. Not the mixing part, but the trying to roll them into balls, wrapping the filling with the skin nicely and molding them. But this time we bought mooncake plunger mould instead of the wooden ones (though we bought one of the wooden ones too) and it makes things a lot easier!

Tadah!

My mooncake plunger which I bought from carousell (only $10) has 6 different designs!

1. Hello Kitty

2. Mickey Mouse

3. Doraemon

It's yellowish because we tried to put in some coloring to test if the design will look better. But apparently yellow is not a good color, it doesn't make much difference. Lol.

4. Traditional design which looks ugly on the mould but the prettiest on the mooncakes!

5. Flower

6. Round Flower

Red lotus filling.

Woah, the skin thickness quite even ah?

Oink Oink.
