Tests + Food + Auntie tip + Oreo

Have been studying the past few days for my mid-sem tests. And today, the tests are finally over!

Monday was the hell-ish tutorial, totally a bad thing to mark the start of school after recess week. BUT, i was lucky! He called 95% of the class to answer his questions and i was surprisingly spared of my life! It's the first time i feel so god damn lucky. Haha, though i admit, throughout the lesson i did my utmost to avoid eye contact with him. When he was explaining i would look at him, but when he starts asking questions i would look at my notes and scribble invisible words. Lol. Okay, i might be spared for now, but not in the future..as there's a presentation for the project. Our group is very huge, so i think there's a need to separate into 2, one to present and another to answer questions posed by the teacher. I have no idea which is better. Presenting seems to be better since the questions raised may be difficult to answer, but then again, the teacher damn strict one...see a bit of the script/screen he also won't allow. :/

So anyway, after that, we had 7.5hrs of break till our econs mid-sem test. So we studied for a bit, then lunch! Since we have so much time, and kind of bored with school food, we decided to dine at Ameen which was just nearby. The food there are on the pricey side, but it's not too bad. :) It's an indian stall la, so though they have other kinds of food on their menu, we assumed the indian food is their specialty so we got....

1. 2 plates of Pattaya rice (one seafood, one chicken)

1 picture only since it looks the same, only the ingredients inside are different...
Not bad, and very filling, the seafood one is more worth it though, a lot of ingredients compared to the chicken one.

2. Chicken curry.
(forgot what's the actually name of the curry, there's a lot of different types..)

Looks yummy not?! Curry my favourite, so i'd also say this is not bad. Haha.

3. Nann
I didn't take any photos of this. Haha. It's just a a plain flat bread, something like roti prata.. Awesome to eat with the curry!

4. Egg with sausage.
No picture for this too because it didn't look nice. It didn't even looked like what it is. In fact, we said it's not ours until we realised it's actually the egg with sausage. I have no idea why we ordered so much, this was redundant and it wasn't yummy. The egg was so thin that i could barely taste the egg, just the brown 'crisp'.):

5. Ice cream

Guess what! This ice cream is free! I mean, the menu didn't say anything la, but they just handed out the ice cream to us. So when we received it, we were like...

Super full, we didn't finish the food, but still ate the ice cream. Because no matter how full one is, there's always room for desserts. :)

Haha, then we trudge back to school with a satisfied tummy. Studied and talked for a bit, then went to eat snacks again. Lol. Bought tau huay. Wanted a cold one, but it was sold out...

After that we headed to exam venue! Test was mostly quite tricky. And while they were good to let us in early, they actually took 30 freaking minutes to collect the papers.

No idea why they have to take so long! Because the entire room was split into 2 sections, A and B, the papers should be collected at a faster pace! In fact, my section finished collecting pretty quickly. The teacher holding the mike at Section A still went to announce, "Section B, you have to count the papers." Please, the teachers in my section already finish counting ok! Tsk.

So by the time they release us, and for me to travel home, i reached home pretty late. Bathed and eat, and there weren't any more energy left for me to study for the next day's paper. So i was pretty much unprepared for today's paper. And i screwed it up, by only writing a page of essay. Confirm fail....

But it's over. And i had to destress and keep myself awake for general biology lecture after that. So we got Starbucks!

Okay, i don't know if i am the only sua gu one, but my sister taught me a 'trick' the other day which she learnt from her friend. She said that we can buy a venti-sized cup, and ask them to split into 2 tall-sized cups. It's cheaper that way! (no idea why, because the extra cost of the cup should be taken into account right? So in actual fact, it should be more expensive?) So i tried asking them, since my friend was unconvinced and paiseh to ask...and viola! It's allowed! Hahaha.

So Auntie-tip: Buy a venti-sized cup and ask to split into 2 cups (cheaper than buying individual tall-sized cups)

I saved quite a bit since i bought it in NUS, which entitles us to another 10% discount. Which means...I only paid about $3.30 for my tall-sized mocha.

Lol. General biology was different from usual because the lecturer changed. And it became so difficult to understand and less interesting, because the new lecturer, i presume, is from China. And he wastes time asking questions which people do not want to answer... Quite a few more lectures with him somemore. *sigh*

And meet Oreo!

I came up with that name since she's black and white. Haha. She's a stray cat, usually coming over to my house. Only about the current size of my kittens. So poor thing, having to survive alone and all...So i expressed my thoughts to my dad and he was like "Then when it comes, you go feed it la." So yeah, permission given, and on Sunday when it came, we gave her food. And she was so friendly! She kept showing affection by rubbing her head against us. She keeps meow-ing though.

She totally loves it when we rubs the area on her head, behind her ears. She closes her eyes like she really enjoys it. :) She keeps coming over now, so whenever we see/hear her we would feed her. I'm so tempted to introduce her to my kittens so they can make friends...Haha, but i think my kittens are far too aggressive, though i think Oreo looks like she can be aggressive too. Need to send her for sterilization soon though, gotta find those people who offer free sterilization for stray cats...
