First parcel from my Korean penpal! ♥

I had a pleasant surprise today!
My mum answered the phone
(which was used to communicate with the people downstairs)

Mum: "Tan Qian NING?, okay"
(she wants to confirm it's mine, since Ning & Ying is so similar)
*puts down the phone*
"Your parcel, the postman wants you to go down to sign."

Me: Huh! Really?
*get super excited and think of who could it be from*
+

Apparently no need to sign one,
the postman just passed it to me along with our other letters.
And when i received it from the postman...
I was totally...
It was the biggest letter/parcel i ever received!
Then i saw where it's from...

 Korea!
Haha, sorry that i mosaic-ed our address.
Don't want either of us to be stalked.
Haha.
I know very few knows about my blog.
But still...
I never know who else is reading without my knowing.

A scheduler book (light blue), a cute post-it notes (pink) and a hairband
which, according to her, is a hot item in korea.

 And a Christmas card.

 which is a pop-up card!

I was super happy but so paiseh at the same time...
   +

She mailed me three gifts!
So many!
No wonder the letter become a parcel..

Plus it's not for my birthday or something,
it's just for Christmas.
To think i just pasted a candy in the christmas card that i sent her.

My god, now you know why i so paiseh..
Okay, on second thought, maybe the gifts are for birthday cum christmas.
Cause she only wished me on facebook on my birthday.
Although she didn't say anything about my birthday in the card la..

Woa, i think i better think of things to send her for her birthday.
Which is less than a week away.
:/
What to give huh?
Korea so good!
So many cute stuffs manufactured in Korea itself.
Singapore?
Mostly imported stuffs.
I can't possibly send her a gift which is made in korea right?
Just imagine that!
Like super lame.

I didn't send any bigger/heavier stuffs by slow mail other than letters

and maybe something small that can just put into the envelope
(that way can just pay the normal fee)
Ikr, so sua ku.
So Google to the rescue!

And here's what i've found..

For about 170g, postage fee is $4.40
Why the postal fees so expensive one?!?!
I can buy another gift with that amount lor!
No wonder people opt to email instead of snail mail can?!?!

I just told my mum the 'expensive' postage fee then she say i so kiam siap.

I am not!
 ):
"You're paying for that thing to sit on the plane you know!"
As quoted from my mum, lol.

It's logical,
but the mails can just longbang on a plane that is going korea what!
Doesn't take much space either..
I don't believe got so many mails to korea in a day/week.

Hahah, okay, i sound so unreasonable.
Sorry la.
I just complain and heart pain pain only,
but in the end i'll still spend the $$, for friends.
Haha, must emphasis on the 'for friends' part.

Reasons...

(for presents)
1. friends will be happy from receiving presents
2. kind of a gesture of love, lol

(for hanging out with them)
3. with friends' accompany, it's priceless
No, i do not like to spend so much on food

that ain't worth the price it's priced at.
No, i do not like to spend so much on going places that cost a bomb.
But heck, i'm going with my beloved friends.
So no matter how unworthy the product or service or whatever i am paying for is

it'll be worth it.

That's why i am willing to spend $ on friends rather than myself.
Lol, i hope that i do not sound like some weirdo~

PS. Eelin!

After i figure out how to send heavier stuffs overseas
then maybe next time i can send some stuffs to you too!
Woohoo!

PPS. The emoticons of the onion head so cute right!!
Can totally express what i want to say.
Hahaha.
