Gosh, so busy with so many stuffs these days I don't have much time/energy to blog. I used to love to blog so much lo!
But now that I'm done with my first PC1326 test and handed in my 1st draft of my dissertation (crappy piece of work), I'm here to blog about Kat's wedding!! Even though I still have projects to finish up, tutorials to do as well as catching up on my webcasts.

So anyway....
It was my first time as a bridesmaid so I didn't really have any idea of what I was supposed to do. Unlike the usual tasks, I wasn't involved in any pre-wedding stuffs because Kat planned everything and just informed us what kind of stuffs I have to help with on that day. Initially Abie was supposed to do it with me, along with Kat's 2 other poly friends. But because Abie couldn't confirm quickly as she needs to get approval for a leave, Kat got another friend who wanted to be her bridesmaid. So I didn't know any of the girls, and only met them on that day itself....
Awkward, but it wasn't that bad actually.
Somehow I couldn't sleep well, hahaha. So I got up at 6plus to get ready.

All prepared! Specially bought this dress for $25 to suit Kat's white and pink theme because I don't own any white/pink dress..

I was quite exited. Hahaha.
Daddy dropped me at Kat's house, thankfully. Because besides my small bag, I still had a bag which contains things like my clothes to change into for dinner etc as well as my laptop bag as Kat wanted to borrow my laptop. Plus I was in heels, wouldn't want to trip and fall. Lol.
I was the first to reach! Greeted Kat's dad, and went in the room to see Kat getting her hair and make up done. Her dad got me to eat breakfast...so I had kueh lapis, chee kueh and hot milk tea. Yums. Then I saw Kat's mum! She was like, "Hello, you look familiar...." Then I explained that I am Kat's secondary school friend and told her my name. Initially I was thinking whether she would remember me because although Kat and I were best buddies from Sec 1 to Sec 4, we don't frequent each other's house often. But I think she kinda remembered me?! Cause she asked if I was still staying at Aljunied etc. Hahah. Quite happy leh. She remembered Abie too! Cause she said "there's another one who just stays around here right?" Lol.
Here are some of the behind-the-scene photos

Kat looking like some rich tai tai leh.

Transformed!

:)
Good quality photos like these are taken by the photographer! I can kope them because the photos are still on my laptop! Lol. They didn't delete them after using my laptop for the presentations and playing of songs during the dinner. But not sure if i'm allowed to do this, so gonna just post just a few photos!

With Kat's mum and the rest of the bridesmaids!

Left to right: Barbara, Janessa and Serene.
The groom and his groomsmen.
Headed to the groom's place at woodlands...
Kat 很美!
Then back to Kat's place for lunch buffet and then headed to the hotel! We sat in a 13 seater van.
In the bridal's room.

Hahaha.
Basically just rest till around 4-5plus..

Yeah, I was bored and a little tired, but too paiseh to sleep on the bed.
Showered (alone). Haha. The girls are really friendly and nice, but it took some time for me to get used to it because:
(1) 2 of them are super open. Both bathed together with Kat?
Them: *taking their clothes*
Me: Oh! so you girls are going to shower?
Me: Oh! so you girls are going to shower?
Them: Yes! We're going to bathe now.
Me: Huh? This room got how many toilets? I thought one?
Them: Yeah one. You want to join us?
Me: *Stone* Errrrrr....
Them: *laughs* It's okayyy, we understand. After all we just got to know each other.
Wow.
Also, when I asked one of them for the guest list, she produced it from her boobs. Lol. Culture shock for me eh.
(2) The other one is a heavy smoker.
Omg, I seriously cannot stand cigarette smoke. But for the sake of friends or whats not, I try not to make cringing faces in front of them because I think it would be quite rude. Early in the morning when I met this girl she asked me to accompany her outside because she wants to smoke (afraid that the adults would ask). From then onwards I've been asked to accompany her whenever she needs to smoke. When we got to the hotel it got worse. The guys smoked in the room and that room literally became a smoking room. I've been in that room for almost 5 times thanks to myself, the stupid one who doesn't know how to say 'NO'.
Why am I so nice timid?
Felt like I halved my life that day itself.
Well, other than that, they are really nice people.

Some tea snacks.

When we started eating, we were told these snacks aren't inclusive for the bridal room. There is an additional charge. Omg. But they were nice to waive it off this time round.

In the hotel's toilet.

With Janessa at the reception!
First time not being able to enjoy a wedding dinner. Halfway eating I would have to run off to help with the reception or Kat's change of gown. Actually I was tasked with reception, so I thought I was done until Janessa came and asked me to help with Kat's changing of gown. So I sprinted here and there in my heels. Horrible heels. My toes and feet didn't felt like mine for the next few days. Got the urge to crack them every single minute. Lol.
They wanted us up on the stage for the yum-seng part. I really didn't want to go up, plus I don't drink, so I pretended to be busy eating. The rest were telling me that they were looking for me, so I just took a tiny peek and peeped up from my food. Just that single peek I exchanged eye contact with Janessa who was trying to catch my attention. Haha, I was like, "Oh nooo, okok, I go..." the rest laughed at me lo.
Nevertheless, the food was good! And it was really nice to see the F2-2 peeps together like this again. Somehow reminds me of prom 6 years ago...

Times flies. Look how old we all are. And one of us officially married now.

My dear friend, hope you and Jason will stay happy together, always!
♥♥♥
So they said "Three times a bridesmaid, never a bride."
Hahaha, got such thing one meh?! Woah, but I still have a lot of close girlfriends whom I want to help out during their wedding leh!
Anyway Wj and Carol booked me already. Hahaha! I can't wait!
:D
