Rag Cum National Day.

HAPPY 46TH BIRTHDAY SINGAPORE~!

Met Yvette at Raffles Place at 12.30pm.

And it was already crowded with NUS people.

We wanted to have lunch first before heading to Promontory@MarinaBay

But we walked everywhere

but could not find any nice cheap stuffs to eat.

So we ended up buying a can of cold drink

and went into the area where Rag is being held at

The queue for the goodie bag was damn long

So we decided to forgo it.

Manage to find seats to settle in.

Fyi, there are assigned seats.

And some area are for the public,

so actually the public can enjoy the performances too.

There were quite a few people from other faculties

who sat at our seats.

So the seniors had to chase them away...

Anyway.

I didnt take awesome shots because i just used my iphone..

Costumes.

I think our costumes was easily one of the best?

Like it's really so costume-y,

you know what i mean??

And most are handmade by our costumes people la.

No idea why biz won the best costumes award.

(plus they won so many awards already. ._.)

 Our float!!!

You have to see the details to know how painstakingly this float is done..

It was kind of sad we didnt win any awards..

I really think we should deserve at least one!

Especially the costumes award.

Blehs.

Our performance was quite good if i say so myself.

Like the costumes are so obvious that it's not bought or borrowed.

The dancers are all so hyper and energetic

Their dance moves were all so coordinated.

Lastly, the float was awesome.

Dum dum looks especially cute with it's moving eyebrows.

Really dont understand why we didnt even win a single award!

They gave biz like more than 3 awards?!?

I admit their float and cheerleading team was really good.

But the costumes..ours was better!

!@#()&%&^#$@!

Okay, i'm just ranting.

You have to understand..

We spent so much effort but didnt win anything?

It's like our efforts are not recognized!

And i only went to help out once a week.

Imagine those dancers and cheerleaders

the seniors, and all those who participated actively.

Disappointment x100 of mine.

Nevertheless,

"Our awesome is still more awesome than their awesome"

Again, Rag&Flag is not only about winning.

It's about the process.

So i'm glad to say that i made some friends through rag too.

And get to undergo such a refreshing experience.

It's truly a blessing.

I'm proud that i'm from Nus SDE.

SDE SDE ALL THE WAY!!

After all the rag performanaces,

yvette and i decided to have dinner.

Our tummy were grumbling from the lack of food already.

Since Raffles Place doesnt have much food outlets.

We went to City Hall to eat Yoshinoya 

(only because the queue is the shortest)

Then head back to Promontory@MarinaBay

By then, there were TONS of people.

Many wanted to go into the grandstand area

where the fireworks can be seen more clearly

But it was not allowed.

Yevtte and i were so scared we cant get in again.

But guess what!

We just showed our NUS matric card and we're allowed to go in.

Imagine!

Like a sea of people wanted to go in but cant.

(some of them tried pushing but got scolded by the security guards)

Then we just flash a card and TADAH, we're allow to enter

Like some VIP.

That feeling is SHIOK TTM.

Hahahah.

While we managed to enter.

Many were all seated.

So we sat on the steps.

Until when a couple went away, then we took their seats.

NDP Live on the large screen.

And the fireworks!

Such a breathtaking view from Promontory@MarinaBay.

Damn awesome, no obstructions.

Haha.

Nah!

I also saw Abie while on the way to Promontory@MarinaBay

(i wish the place has a shorter and easier name ._.)

Chatted with her awhile.

Haha.

And while it didnt rain, as what the weather forecast predicted.

The weather was damn freaking hot.

As a result...

Only the front part of my legs are burnt.
